Kung Hei Fak Choi! As the Year of Goat approaches, China Construction Bank (Asia) would like to create an innovative greeting for their corporate and retail customers in Hong Kong and Macau. Like previous years, PacificLink is helping on both creative and programming development of the Chinese New Year eCard.

To bring out the celebrating atmosphere of Chinese New Year, the overall look and feel would be in bright and warm color. Animations have been added on different elements, such as peach flower, traditional houses, sailing boat, dancing lions and greeting message wishing a prosperous and joyful year for everyone.

Web users today are not only asking for entertainment, but involvement as well. To enhance customer engagement, the new eCard is created by parallax scrolling – a website design technique using HTML5. The interactive nature of parallax scrolling offers an ideal setting for storytelling by letting visitors take control and walk through the whole story in their own pace. When visitors keep scrolling or click the auto-play button, the continuous animation will motivate them to explore further. Different layers of visuals would respond differently to the scrolling behavior and create a sense of depth that enriches the overall experience.
