Objective

Marketing Magazine’s Marketing Excellence Award 2013 is to champion and celebrate the best communication achievements in Hong Kong Marketing industry.

Everyone is having fun. But how can the hype go viral? Our Challenge is to bring some innovation to the event to make it more connected with our digital life and enhance the event experience.

Idea

The solution is based on one insight: People are insane about snap shots. So we installed a NFC Photo Booth. Using snap photos as a hook, attendees gladly connected their Facebook via NFC card and shared their photos on social media with our benchmark. For organizers, NFC is a convenient tool to create word-of-mouth via engaging users. For Users, NFC is a fast key to access their on-day digital album, get the instant print-out and show off the fun.

Result

NFC Photo Booth captured 246 photos in the event and generated over 1700 views on social media. The success of the event broadcast to larger community through organic sharing. The attendees had a more memorable experience with their photos.
